I really haven't known what to do with myself during all of my time off. The first couple of days I was sure that I was going to go crazy but I am finally getting used to all of the free time. Too bad school starts again on Tuesday!! I kept myself occupied with several little holiday projects.
Here's the little tree before all of the presents disappeared:
The week before Christmas I spent every evening wrapping presents and watching Christmas movies. I'm seriously the SLOWEST wrapper in the U.S. of A. I wrapped two presents per movie. I've tried for years to improve my wrapping time but I don't think it's ever going to happen. This year I decided to go for a totally different vibe with my presents than I typically do. They looked pretty cool under my tree but seemed a little strange once they were next to normal red and green Christmas presents at our holiday gatherings.
I bought a hand stamp off of Etsy and handmade all of the gift tags. It took seriously took me weeks. Why am I so slow?
I designed a few other gift tags too. I didn't actually use these on my presents but they're for my imaginary future stationary business. :)
I also made cinnamon honey butter for everyone. I found the recipe on a blog and thought it was a really cute idea - mostly I just liked getting to decorate cute little squatty mason jars!
Now to find a couple more projects to get me through the last part of Christmas break. Heaven knows that these projects keep me from cleaning until my fingers fall off. Life savers really.
I can't wait to see what 2011 has in store. Happy New Year!!!

It would take me longer than 2 pkg per movie if I did what you did. You are so creative and so ingenious. I know Chrs. time at your house is going to always be so fun! All looked lovely.
