Fashion Faux Pas

Every year around this time I start eyeballing bright-colored, summery purses and bags. Like these little Etsy finds!...

In fact, last weekend I made a quick stop at Target for a few necessities. I hate how the purse section is the first thing I see when I walk in the store. I couldn't help but notice a bright orange purse hanging on a rack all by its lonesome. So what did I do? Threw it in my cart and pushed the guilty feeling to the back of my mind. I had been carrying the same old boring brown purse since the end of last summer, so of course I justified the buy (it was a must have addition to my spring wardrobe, after all!). Two days later, it was snowing on my way to work. It was only after I found myself walking into work wearing my big red coat that I realized that buying a bright orange purse was a horrible idea. Now I'm stuck with an orange purse for the next six months. Why do I do these things to myself?!
