Creepy Crawlers

I found seven big brown spiders within my first three days in the new house. The first one I found was crawling right toward my bed as I was about to get in it. The second one was in my shower when I went to turn on the water. I can't even look at a big spider without getting goose bumps all over. I'd say this is a good sign that I suffer from arachnophobia. A couple of days ago Ethan was nice enough to spray every possible nook of the house for me... inside and out. I haven't spotted another one of the little boogers since, so hopefully the infestation is over.

Here's a nice little bit of information that I just read on Wikipedia: "Arachnophobes will spare no effort to make sure that their whereabouts are spider-free, hence they would have had a reduced risk of being bitten in ancestral environments. Therefore, arachnophobes may possess a slight advantage over non-arachnophobes in terms of survival." A slight advantage? I like those odds. Perhaps my efforts are not pointless after all.

I don't like posting without pictures because it seems too boring. I looked up some brown spider pictures but I honestly can't bear to put one of them on here. Here's a pretty (and completely harmless) spider for you instead...
